Chairman and CEO of Global Impact International, and Co-Founder of the Restoration Rome Program, Jeff Mauer has chosen to combine his experience as a successful business owner and heart for community service, to initiate and implement creative and scalable solutions to the ever-growing foster care crisis in his hometown of Rome, GA. Jeff serves as a trustee on multiple community and educational boards, and as the community engagement pastor for his church. Jeff brings to Restoration Rome the ability to orchestrate concurrent projects and lead multiple teams to achieve strategic priorities and purposes.

Mary Margaret Mauer, Ph.D.

Co-Founder of Restoration Rome

Senior Vice President of Foster Care Services for Global Impact International, and Co-Founder of the Restoration Rome Program, Mary Margaret Mauer is a passionate advocate and community organizer on behalf of foster children and foster families. She has served as an officer or board member for multiple local children service organizations, and she is the Co-Founder of the Floyd Faith Coalition for Families. Having studied neurobiology at Emory and Georgia State University, Mary Margaret has focused her efforts on providing services for children who have experienced trauma in the foster care system, and applying strategies to reduce the number of children entering state care.

Reba Huskins

Reba Huskins

Family Support Services Coordinator

Reba is committed to serving families and children by empowering birth parents, foster parents, and kinship caregivers. She studied Human Services with a concentration in Child Advocacy at Kennesaw State University and is a Trust-Based Relational Intervention® Practitioner. Reba knows well the needs of children in care, having had the privilege of serving children in a group home setting for many years and gaining valuable experience as a DFCS intern. Through parenting classes and supportive program development, Reba focuses on reunifying families whenever possible.

Kelli G. Barnes, PCM, CDMP

Director of Marketing

In 2022, Kelli came on board full-time at Restoration Rome as Marketing Director after volunteering for many years providing graphic design and marketing. She studied Marketing at Mercer University and Information Technology at Middle Georgia State University. She moved to Rome in 2006 after working primarily in the hospitality industry in the Atlanta market. In 2007 Kelli founded Southern Creative Consulting, a digital marketing and event design firm, and has experience implementing successful campaigns for nonprofits and small business throughout the state.

Through event planning/management, volunteer coordination, content marketing, and web/graphic design, Kelli focuses on expanding the reach of Restoration Rome by strengthening and restoring families through community connection.

Lexie Vick

Community Engagement | Volunteer Coordinator

Lexie Vick is a native of Rome, Georgia and joined the Restoration Rome team in March 2022 as Community Engagement Volunteer Coordinator. Lexie graduated in Spring 2014 from the University of West Georgia with her degree in Sociology.

When you visit Restoration Rome, you will no doubt meet Lexie at the Front Desk. She will fill you in on all of the upcoming opportunities to volunteer.
