Restoration Rome is a hub for trauma-informed foster, adoption, and family services in Northwest Georgia. Our facility provides a collaborative environment where service providers, state agencies, and the community can work together to ensure that every child can reach their God-given potential and have a healthy forever family.

For far too long, families in our community weren’t getting enough support. The crises of mental health, substance misuse, poverty, and homelessness fed the foster care system. Needs were simply going unmet. In addition, there weren’t enough foster homes for the growing number of children who needed them.
In 2016, the City of Rome awarded us the former Southeast Elementary School building to be repurposed into a hub for foster, adoption, and family services. The collaborative spirit that Restoration Rome creates ensures that our children and families receive the most innovative and comprehensive service provision anywhere. Improved communication, education, accessible & shared resources, “On-Ramps” for engagement, and trauma-informed care are just some of the ways that Restoration Rome endeavors to “reimagine” foster care and child & family welfare in the state of Georgia.
