$15,000 in Scholarships awarded to TBRI® Georgia Collaborative

In support of the TBRI® Georgia Collaborative based at Restoration Rome, Show Hope has provided scholarships for TBRI® Practitioner Training to six local individuals who serve our vulnerable children through many different avenues. These include our school system, the YMCA, DFCS, residential care, family and child counseling, and youth ministry. Training of local TBRI® Practitioners is a crucial step in bringing trauma-informed care to the vulnerable children in our community and throughout Georgia!
Scholarship opportunities were made available through the Empowered to Connect Program that Show Hope and the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development present each Spring. The two-day event was broadcast at Restoration Rome and made available for free to foster and adoptive parents. The conference featured Trust-Based Relational Intervention® methods developed by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross, to help bring healing and hope to children from hard places. Show Hope was founded by Mary Beth and Steven Curtis Chapman in 2003 to address the global orphan crisis. Since then, Show Hope has worked to holistically approach orphan care, helping children through adoption aid, care centers in China, pre and post adoption support, and student initiatives that educate and empower the next generation of leaders to effectively care and make a difference in the lives of waiting children.
